Helper. If I had to describe myself with one word, I think helper would be a good choice. I am the person if I am in a store and someone can’t find something, I will search the store for them until it is found. (Sometimes I do that without ever being asked and then will look for the customer to tell them where the item is located.) Outlook not only allows my ‘inner helper’ to come out; they actually encourage it. Outlook wants me to obsess over the customer. To me that is helping on steroids! No matter if it is a co-worker at the Home Office, an Advance Funeral Planner with a benefit problem, or the new hire that needs help getting their insurance license; I am empowered to do whatever it takes to get answers and solutions. I feel very fortunate, and personally fulfilled, to work for a company who values helping and challenges me to obsess.
