Meet our Leadership Team

Our executive leadership team sets the tone and direction for The Outlook Group. The future success of our company depends upon the strength, courage, foresight and proven ability of these individuals.






Founder, Charles W. Anderson of Springboro, OH. Charles is a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has coordinated and led many sales and management seminars and workshops in the course of his distinguished career. He has received countless funeral profession awards and accolades. Charles is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Ohio and Kentucky and holds an Ohio Life Insurance license. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Abilities First Foundation, former president, Hospice of Middletown, OH Advisory Board; past president, Rotary Club; and former school board member and president, Springboro City Schools. He is also on the Alumni Board of Transylvania University, Lexington, KY.

 

 

Chief Executive Officer and President, Tyler B. Anderson of Springboro, OH. Since 2010, Tyler has been responsible for the vision of the company as well as day-to-day operations. Early in his career, he served as an Advanced Funeral Director of the Wisconsin/Greater Chicago region. His outstanding leadership in this region resulted in a doubling of total sales and a substantial expansion of The Outlook Group’s customer base and profile. Tyler is the co-architect of the company’s exclusive Outlook Relationship Management System (ORMS) and Outlook Strategic Marketing Partners Program (OSMP). He is a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, OH.

 

Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Michael Anderson of Fishers, IN. Michael grew up in the family funeral business. A graduate of Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, he holds an R. Ph. as well as an M.B.A. from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining The Outlook Group, Michael worked for 12 years at Eli Lilly and Company in sales and marketing positions ranging from Senior Sales Representative to Marketing Director of the Cymbalta Brand Team. The skills and knowledge he acquired at Lilly are in large part the foundation for his significant contributions at The Outlook Group.

 

 

Vice President of Sales, John T. Feher of Hinckley, OH. John holds an Ohio Funeral Director and Embalmer license. He received a B.A. from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. In 2003, Money magazine highlighted John and his wife’s experience as investors. John joined The Outlook Group in 1997. During his tenure with the company, he has been the recipient of many national advance funeral planning sales achievement awards for outstanding service.

 

Vice President of Business Operations, Beverly Horstman of Carmel, IN. Prior to joining The Outlook Group, Beverly owned and operated a marketing agency for 16 years. Its focus was building long-term relationships with funeral home partners. Her experience includes implementing proactive programs focusing on aftercare, pre-planning, education and design of database tracking systems. Prior to working in the funeral profession, she was Marketing Director for an array of companies in the fields of computers, architecture and manufacturing.

 

 


Regional Development Director, Staci A. Blake of Fishers, IN. Staci is a sales professional with demonstrated success exceeding sales quotas, managing, training and supporting teams, and driving organizational growth and profitability for small and midsized companies. Her other areas of expertise include direct sales and marketing, PR, product training and placement and related functions. Staci brings extensive experience in the funeral business to The Outlook Group, including positions in market sales management and preneed business development and sales.

 

 

Regional Development Director, Steven G. Brown of Columbus, OH. Steve has over 15 years experience in the insurance and financial industries and held positions ranging from sales & marketing to successfully operating his own insurance agency. Prior to joining The Outlook Group, Steve held positions in sales management and sales training at Nationwide Insurance where he led many of the commercial agent and sales manager training workshops. Steve graduated from The Ohio State University and has his Ohio P&C, Life & Health, and FINRA Series 6, 26, and 63 licenses.

 

 

Regional Development Director, Christian Chambers of Myrtle Beach, SC. Christian holds and Ohio Funeral Director and Embalmer license. He received a B.A. from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Christian joined The Outlook Group in 1992 after working at-need at his family funeral home in Columbus, OH. His extensive pre-need experience gives him a unique ability to assist funeral home owners, managers and pre-need sales professionals.

 

 

Regional Development Director, Victoria O’Connor of Lake Elsinore, CA, comes to the Outlook Group with a broad background in marketing and sales. Victoria has worked as director of admissions and financial aid at two colleges in California, where she spearheaded aggressive plans for growth and developed outstanding and effective admissions teams. Victoria’s experience also includes her position as director of sales and marketing at a senior living facility. Her eagerness to help enhance a productive team in a progressive profession led her to join The Outlook Group, where she can apply both her extensive sales analysis and presentation skills. Victoria’s familiarity and experience in several parts of Southern California also play an important role in what she brings to this RDD position.

 

 


Regional Development Director, Jonathon G. O’Hara of East China, MI. Jon is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and holds a B.A. from Albion College and an AAS in Mortuary Science from Ivy Tech Community College. Jon has been in funeral service for more than 13 years and has made funeral service his only career and professional passion. Jon got his start in the funeral profession working with corporate and family owned funeral homes in Michigan. Jon later went on to work at Aurora Casket Company and most recently served as a Regional Development Director at Tributes.com prior to joining The Outlook Group.

 

 


Regional Development Director, Kent W. Tompkins of Dallastown, PA. Prior to joining the company, Kent worked as a Senior Account Executive for Homesteaders Life Company, serving Central PA, Maryland and Washington, DC. He got his start in the funeral service profession working for his hometown funeral provider, offering support services to the director and staff for more than ten years. Kent also has experience operating businesses.

 

 

 


Regional Development Director, Teresa Westing, M.A. of McFarland, WI. Teresa holds a B.A. and Master’s degree from the Leadership Institute of Seattle, City University, in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis in counseling and consulting. She has served organizations and families throughout her career in many roles, including behavioral health counselor, community speaker, program director and as a funeral pre-planning professional and sales team trainer. Using a Family Systems approach, Teresa has created at-need, pre-need and continuing care services.

 

Training Director, Candace Franco, C.P.C., B.S.N., M.H.A. of Kilmamock, VA. Candace is a Certified Pre-Planning Consultant with 18 years of experience in the field of Advance Funeral Planning. She has worked with families individually planning their funerals. In addition, she has worked with funeral home owners and advance planners to develop and implement effective pre-need programs that meet the highest ethical standards. Candace has written numerous articles, conducted seminars for NFDA and state associations and provided continuing education courses for funeral directors, advance planners and financial planners. Recently, she has been the Director of The Academy, The Outlook Group’s training and education program and has trained and worked closely with some of the most highly acclaimed pre-need planners in the funeral industry.

 

Project Implementation Director, Kelly Kohut of Elkton, Maryland. Kelly brings ten years of sales and marketing experience to The Outlook Group. She earned a B.S. in Marketing Management as well as an M.B.A from Goldey-Beacom College. Her track record is one of success with sales results, leadership opportunities and project implementation. Before joining The Outlook Group, Kelly was named Rookie of the Year at Eli Lilly and Company, where she doubled market share of a leading neuroscience product within her first year. As Project Implementation Director, she creates and manages the Advanced Funding Solutions training program for The Outlook Group.

 

Business Development, Kyle D. Aler of Kannapolis, NC. Kyle received his B.A. in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati and also graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Kyle began his career in funeral service working as a funeral director and embalmer for Vernon Funeral Homes in Ohio. He currently holds his Funeral Director and Embalmer’s license in North Carolina. His eagerness to grow in the funeral profession led him to join The Outlook Group in 2009. He has worked as an Advance Funeral Planner for Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Services in Columbus, OH and continues to work for Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Kyle’s background and experience also play an integral part in his additional role in Business Development in Tennessee and Georgia.
